Highland Spring pours new products into Asda aisles
Highland Spring has secured a contract with Asda to supply five new water products to the retailer’s stores across Scotland.
The deal will see Asda become the only major grocery retailer in Scotland to stock the entire single serve ECO range- made from 100% recycled plastic – from the Perthshire based company. Highland Spring ECO 500ml Still Water, ECO 750ml Still Water and ECO 500ml Sparkling Water will join the Still 10L Box and Highland Spring Flavoured Cans on the Asda shelves.
Established in 1979 by the same family that owns it today, Highland Spring has grown to become the UK’s number one bottled water brand.
Lynn Smith, National Account Manager at Highland Spring Group said:
“Providing healthy hydration in an environmentally sustainable way is the core purpose of Highland Spring and we have been working hard to ensure customers have access to more environmentally friendly packaging options.”
“Whilst all existing bottles in the Highland Spring range are 100% recyclable, our evolving ECO bottle range underpins our commitment to remain at the forefront of environmentally sustainable innovation.”
Heather Turnbull, Asda’s Regional Buying Manager, Scotland, added:
“We’re delighted to be the first major grocery retailer in Scotland to stock the new Highland Spring ECO bottled water range, alongside the innovative 10L hydration pack which is perfect for staycations and the flavoured sparkling water cans, which will offer our customers the chance to try something new this summer.”
“We know that sustainability is important to our customers and we’re always striving to introduce more environmentally friendly products - this new ECO range will be a great addition to our shelves.”
Highland Spring’s ECO still and sparking bottled water range, the Still 10L Box and the Highland Spring Flavoured Sparkling Water Cans are available in Asda stores now.
